Proud to be Polite

Cotillion of Greater St. Louis presents the Proud to Be Polite Workshop.  This 3-hour workshop offers boys and girls ages 5 – 8 years old an opportunity to learn the social skills that will help them become confident and self-assured young adults. During this lesson, they will learn the importance of handshakes, introductions, making eye contact and other simple courtesies that go a long with making friends. This event also includes a light lunch, where they will put their table manners into motion. Kids will have fun while playing games that will reinforce their manners at home.  Parents can join too for the lunch portion of class.

Girls Style and Beauty  Workshop

Girls Style and Beauty Intro Workshop

The 3-hour workshop is a sneak peak in our 5-session Style and Beauty Workshop for girls 8 – 14 years old.  This is a fun and interactive etiquette workshop that combines etiquette training on self-introduction, poise and posture; tips about skin care and nutrition; and fashion styles and wardrobe selection.  The etiquette program is combined with classroom and technical instruction provided by our professional instructors.  Our program is a fun way to gain self-confidence through modeling.  This class is a MUST have class for girls looking for self-improvement, self-esteem, and confidence. Help your daughter become her personal best.

Style and Beauty 5 Class Session

The Girl’s Style and Beauty Program is fun way for to learn about appropriate ways to dress, hair, nutrition, accessories and more.  This program teaches visual poise, personal style, and fashion thru interactive exercises. Students attend 5-class sessions to practice social skills, poise and grace and participate in a Gradation Fashion Show.

Each student will receive one ticket for a parent / guest. Additional tickets may be purchased for $20 each. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to a local charity.

Junior Invitational Cotillion

Class Overview:  The Junior Invitational Cotillion is for students in 4th through 6th grade.  Students practice social skills and manners using games, music, and art to help them build their self-esteem, character, and successful relationships.  The class is centered on the principle of treating others, as you want to be treated.  Students practice their social skills and table manners through fun and interactive activities in a learning environment. This class includes snacks and a 3-course meal.  Parents attend a special ceremony at the end of class to recognize students.

Supper Club & Cotillion 6th- 8th Grade

Friends, Food, and Fun describe our Middle Manners Supper Club Program and Cotillion.  This 5-session program that combines social skills, etiquette and formal dance instruction.  Students practice first impressions, conversation skills, telephone and texting manners, Thank you notes, formal table manners, restaurant skills and terms, first impressions, dress code, interview preparation, thank you notes and more.  Each program includes instruction on event dance etiquette, a light meal and/or snack each class, as well as a tutorial three-course meal and a formal Ball that allows students the opportunity to put their training into action.
